Police investigate theft of trailer from business; recover stolen pickup truck - Peterborough
On Friday, a Highway 35 business reported the theft of a dump trailer. Police also that day located a pickup truck that had been stolen from a driveway on Oct. 18. Police in Lindsay, Ontario, are investigating the theft of a dump trailer from a business and have arrested a 38-year-old man from Scarborough for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon, and other charges related to a separate vehicle theft. The stolen dump trailer is described as a 2021 black Tow Tech dual-axle traile, seven feet by 12 feet. The man was also found in possession of pepper spray. Police are currently awaiting a bail hearing in court.

Police in Lindsay, Ont., are investigating the theft of a trailer late last week and have made an arrest in a separate vehicle theft.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, on Friday, officers were informed of the theft of a dump trailer from a business on Highway 35. Police determined that at around 6:10 a.m., a light-coloured pickup truck entered the parking lot, attached the trailer, and exited the lot travelling south.
The trailer is described as a 2021 black Tow Tech dual-axle traile, seven feet by 12 feet.
Police say on Friday, officers also found a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck that had been reported stolen from a William Street North driveway on Oct. 18. The vehicle, with a driver inside, was found in a parking lot on Angeline Street North.
The man was found in possession of pepper spray, police said.
A 38-year-old man from Scarborough was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, six counts of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, and two counts of failure to comply with probation.
He was held in custody for a scheduled bail hearing in court in Lindsay.
